We are currently seeking an Agronomist who can support our business operations through their passion for best practices in farming and strong sense of ownership.
As a key part of our Agronomy Team, You’ll Have the Opportunity to Do What You Do Best:
- Create annual fertilizer and chemical plans.
- Work with farm software to create VR maps.
- Analyze agronomic data to identify trends and improve growing methods.
- Communicate closely with Production teams throughout the seasons.
- Participate in scouting, data collection, soil sampling and tissue analysis.
- Conduct variety and product trials.
- Attend company training and industry trade shows.
- Train staff in various areas as required.
We’re Looking For:
- An optimistic person who sees solutions and improvement opportunities in every situation.
- A love of working outdoors.
- A self-motivated, service-oriented mindset and willingness to take initiative.
- A degree or Diploma in Agriculture or related field - P. Ag or CCA is considered an advantage.
- 2+ years of applied agronomy and/or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Someone who is detail-oriented and well organized.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with crops, pesticides, and fertilizers in the current market.
- Awareness of industry trends, technology and developments.
- Strong research, decision making, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Team leadership ability.
- Exceptional time management and planning skills.
- The willingness to contribute to a positive team environment.
- A valid class 5 license.
