WAYNE REMPEL
CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER & PRESIDENT
Wayne has worked at Kroeker Farms since 1988. He became the company’s first non-family CEO in June of 2002. Wayne is committed to industry involvement; currently he is a director on the Peak of the Market Board and is an active member of other committees including the Canadian Horticulture Council.

TYSON KAMMINGA, CPA, CMA
CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER & TREASURER
Tyson joined our team in 2017 and is responsible for the financial and investment activities of Kroeker Farms Limited. His background is in fuel transportation and agriculture. He provides leadership for the office administration staff.

GARRY FRIESEN
SALES MANAGER & BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
Garry joined the sales team in November, 2008. He oversees all potato and onion sales.

HARWIN BOUWMAN, MBA
CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER
Harwin joined Kroekers in 2011. Harwin’s focus is facilitating business improvement by identifying and implementing solutions that leverage technology, information management, operational best-practices, and market opportunities.

GORD PENNER
HEAD AGRONOMIST
Gord joined Kroeker Farms in 2015. Before that he worked in agriculture research with AAFC. At Kroekers, he is responsible for the agronomic activities for organic and conventional production on the Manitoba and Saskatchewan farms.

KEVIN NICKEL, T.Ag
SEED SALES COORDINATOR
Kevin joined Kroeker Farms in 2007, and became the Seed Sales Coordinator in 2012. Kevin serves as a Director at the Manitoba Seed Growers Association as well as the VP of the Saskatchewan Seed Growers Association, representing the Canadian Horticulture Council. He is responsible for all seed sales and purchases and works closely with John Nickel to supply the industry with exceptional seed quality and customer service.

LIANA FEHR
“THE POTATO STORE” MANAGER
Liana joined Kroeker Farms in 2016. She assists with Marketing projects and runs The Potato Store which includes bringing in new and fresh, locally grown fruits and vegetables.

JOHN NICKEL
DIRECTOR SEED POTATO PRODUCTION
John worked with Manitoba Elite Farm for 6 years before he took on the management position in the spring of 2006. He has hands-on experience with maintenance, operation of planting & harvesting equipment, and seed potato storage. John oversees both Manitoba Elite Farm and Saskatchewan Elite Farm. He works closely with Kevin Nickel to supply over 35 different varieties of quality seed to our customers.

RICK REMPEL
SHOP MANAGER
Rick is responsible for the crew at Greenside Workshop. He joined us in the spring of 2006. From regular maintenance to complicated repairs and manufacturing of innovative equipment solutions, the service the shop provides is important to all divisions within Kroeker Farms.

RICHARD KLASSEN
DIRECTOR TABLE POTATO PRODUCTION
Richard became Farm Manager in 2016 and is responsible for the Boyne River Farm near Carman, Manitoba where, in addition to table potato production, creamer potatoes and seed potatoes are produced.

JAKOB OLFERT
ONION FARM MANAGER
Jakob has been with the company since 1999, starting as a key operator in the onion department. He served as the Raspberry Field Manager, and in 2009 was appointed Service Manager. As of 2013, Jakob and his hard working team are responsible for organic onion production.

MITCH REMPEL
DIRECTOR ROTATION CROP PRODUCTION
Mitch started at Kroeker Farms in 2016. His responsibilities include managing the Poplar Grove Organics field crop division comprised of hemp, edible beans and grain production and the green manure rotation ahead of potatoes. This includes day to day operations of seeding/planting, field prep, weed control, and harvest. The field crop division also looks after cover cropping fields after the crop is harvested in all divisions.

AL GIESBRECHT
SALES MANAGER
Al joined the sales team in 2014 at our East Grand Forks, MN location.
In addition to managing the facility, Al provides service and support to US customers.

JASON PETERS
AGRONOMIST
Jason started at Kroeker Farms in 2014. His role as agronomist involves working closely with many aspects of the organic program including the compost program, field scale trials, and promoting new ideas and equipment.
