Our organic farm was spawned from our value of “immer besser” - “always better”; improving the way food is grown. With time and through experience we have discovered that the best organic farming comes from the most nourished soil. Healthy soil that is not just fertile, but alive with biological activity.

In 2002, we began experimenting with organic production on some of our poorest land. Our early success really inspired us to continue expanding, even though we ran into multiple challenges. With time we learned to think differently and began approaching organic farming in a completely different way than conventional production. We realized that to be successful, we had to plan several years ahead and focus on the best possible biological soil health. After this realization, we began converting our best land, resulting in even better quality and yield. Since then, we have converted all of our onion acres to organic and now 100 per cent of our hemp production is organic.
